Stat Changes!
• Dodge, Resist, and Crit Chance are no longer percentage-based stats. All existing abilities that reference these stats have been updated to use a new “rating” system. This change makes your levels and star rank matter more, makes fights against weaker enemies with dodge or resist less annoying, and opens the door for future characters and systems to do more with dodge, resist, and crit.
• When your hero is the same level as your enemy, your hero has the same chance to dodge, resist, or crit as before.
• Just as before, heroes have no chance to dodge, resist, or crit unless they gain that ability from somewhere (like a skill or buff).
• A hero’s dodge chance is determined by comparing the hero’s Dodge rating against the enemy’s Accuracy rating. The higher the Dodge, the more likely the opponent will miss an attack. When the hero’s Dodge rating is equal to the enemy’s Accuracy rating, there is a 50% chance to hit. The chance to hit can’t ever be reduced below 20%.
• A hero’s Resist chance is similarly determined by comparing the hero’s Resist rating against the enemy’s Potency rating. The chance to resist ranges from 0-100%.
• A hero’s Crit chance is determined by comparing the hero’s Crit rating against the enemy’s Vigilance rating. The chance for a critical hit ranges from 0-100%.
• All heroes start with 0 Dodge, 0 Resist, and 0 Crit rating, and 100 Accuracy, 100 Potency and 100 Vigilance. These inherent values scale as you level your hero. When you’re higher level than your enemy, you’ll dodge, resist, or crit more often than before, and when you’re lower level, less often.
Accuracy Down is now Double Vision!
• The Accuracy Down debuff has been replaced with Double Vision. When an enemy with Double Vision attacks you, it’s as if you have a higher Dodge. The effect is ultimately the same - the debuffed character misses more often - but we changed the name so that it’s less confusing with the new accuracy/dodge system.
• Affected characters: Kage-Maru, Sarah Bryant, and Pai Chan.
