Mighty Switch Force version 1 Release Notes
With Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2 being two of my favorite 3DS eShop titles, I was excited to try this game out when it was announced.As a spin-off to those two titles, Hose it Down is a full on puzzle game instead of a puzzle platformer. The first two worlds felt standard in difficulty, but things really ramped up once I entered world 3. The puzzles do get brain-taxing, but a few levels felt a bit tedious with the heavy amount of block sliding required at times. As for the graphics, it's the same as Mighty Switch Force 2 and looks just as good. The sound track is also lifted from the past two games, and while I love every track used, I would've preferred having them spread across each level instead of having one specific track play for each world. When it comes to lifting assets for a mobile spin-off, I'm perfectly fine with reusing graphics and music, although I would've appreciated having new illustrations for the end of mission screens instead of using the ones from MSF2 again. That's a very, very minor nitpick however, and it definitely doesn't stop Hose it Down from being anymore recommendable. Despite a few tedious levels, as a whole you get a great puzzle game at a very affordable price. (The extra puzzles are a bargain too!)
