As an avid player of DayZ, I couldn't wait to play this on iOS. I've gotta say, it's really fun! I personally enjoyed seeing many similarities between this and DayZ (house models, items, etc). The gunplay is different, but it's grown on me even though it presents little to no challenge. The UI is simple & fluid, and the looting is enjoyable. The different islands are cool, and I find the map setup of each one unique and fresh. The guides and maps are welcome additions, and will help any new player to the game. One of the best parts of Mini DayZ is that it's 100% free. You don't buy anything and ads are non-existant ingame. It's great. You can call "care packages" down, but I've called in zero and still managed to get fully geared. There are a few bugs I've noticed though, as well as potential QoL improvements. First off, during the nighttime on my iPhone 6, the edges of the screen flicker & show daylight instead of the entire displaying being night. Furthermore, and I'm not sure if this is a bug, my progress has been set back logging in a couple of times. The only thing I'd really change as of now is making it so that when you pick up something stackable, it'll automatically stack instead of forcing you to manually stack it. With all that in mind, Im having a blast and would recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a survival-genre made by wonderful devs.
