I've been playing this for about an hour now and absolutely love it. The puzzles are executed perfectly for a mobile device and Lara moves smoothly through the world. The look and sound of the game is great too. I think the most surprisingly part though had to be the amounts of nostalgia this brings. I can't tell you how happy I was when the game booted up to the classic ring menu. Everything from the ambience music, to Lara's grunts are throwbacks. Heck, even her pistols sound effects are from the first game. This is a perfect example of respecting where a franchise came from while doing something completely different without having it lose its core focus or the things we grew to love. Solving puzzles and figuring out how to deal with enemies through trial and error. It might be a bit of a stretch, but I'd love to see the people who made this take on a full fledged tomb raider game. The new games are good, but stray way too far from the series puzzle solving roots. This game is simply marvelous and I am thrilled to finally get a Lara Croft game that doesn't try to pretend the originals never happened. Relic Run and the Lara Croft series often acts like Legend was the start, but this team very clearly did their research. I look forward to hopefully seeing more from them in the future. :)
