I’ve played a lot of platform/side scrollers over the years, but this one is one of the best I’ve played. The controls are simple and very well suited to a touch UI. If I had to make any criticisms, it’s the apparent lack of any easter eggs or side quests that are common in many games these days. it would add to the replay value if there were extra challenges per level to collect stars (or whatever) that aren’t mandatory to actually finish a level. But that’s a minor quibble. It’s a great straightforward game that doesn’t engage in shenanigans to “encourage” repeated in-app purchases like so many games that plague the App Store do today. In fact, there are no in-app purchases and that is a refreshing and welcome change!
