We got another update for you! Thank you for being part of our community! We're working hard to keep improving your experience.
Here are the key updates:
Showing real faces and real names is an essential part of what creates mutual trust in our community. We've now improved the image quality of your profile pictures, so your beautiful smiles show up in higher def.
We've fixed a bug that kept you from enjoying your Profile page to the max. Now, if you only have one Pick, your profile page will work properly and no longer malfunction upon refreshing.
We've also fixed the like button; when you're scrolling on Editors' Picks, see a really thoughtful comment and like it, that thumbs up now saves properly.
-We've made a small tweak to the Login button on the login page. When you're typing in your account information, the button will change color to indicate you can submit once you've filled out your information.
Community highlights:
This week, we had some scary news. learned that a Facebook bug gave other people access to more than 6 million users' unposted photos. Blogger Helen Hoefele wrote that the news "only reaffirms my lack of faith in this social media company. By the time I finally pull the plug on my account, there may be nothing left in my account that hasn't already been compromised." Roger McNamee, famously an early Facebook investor and one of its biggest critics, wrote: "These bugs are the product of a design methodology that optimizes the elimination of friction over the needs of users. We will continue to see security compromises and other failures until regulators force radical changes to the business model of FB and Google."
We also learned that Johnson & Johnson had known for decades its baby powder sometimes tested positive for asbestos. In response, Johnathon Lee, a food and beverage consultant at Noble Fire and Greenport Seafood Co., wrote: "People are allowed to kill their fellow citizens and feel okay about it, under the veil and protection of corporations, governments and the economic 'safety' they provide. Sound familiar? ...Johnson & Johnson is still enjoying their immoral profit parade, stomping on the graves of its victims with lawyer jargon, flat-out lies & the withholding of information."
