Why GoodHuman? We’re building the largest curated source of all things ethical and sustainable because we want to make it easier to be a GoodHuman. Discovering, living, and sharing good are innate human qualities. However, over the years, we have become less mindful of the deeper impact of our choices.
We admit it. We’ve owned shoes that were made in factories with questionable labor practices, bought bottled water in single-use plastic that ended up in the trash and used soaps that have more chemicals than antifreeze. Somehow convenience has been prioritized above all else, often failing to consider the implications. We traded this convenience for hidden costs. Consumerism preys on our quick-fix culture and contributes to the poisoning of our planet, our homes, and our bodies. We have unwittingly filled the oceans with plastic, accelerated deforestation, purged animals from their habitat, and filled the atmosphere and our bodies with harmful chemicals.

How we choose to spend and what we choose to consume is incredibly important – in fact, it is one of the greatest influences we possess. Unfortunately, ethical and sustainable options are frequently time-consuming to research and often cost restrictive. GoodHuman makes it easier for everyone to find options that fit a range of budgets and lifestyles.
We recognize that it’s difficult to think proactively about the collective good when our lives are preoccupied with caring for our families, health, and finances and the global pandemic has made this even more challenging. The GoodHuman community makes it easier by offering features that encourage the sharing of DIY projects, tips, ideas, and intentions for spreading good far outside of purchases alone. The objective is not only to take responsibility but also to share with others what we find important. When we do good, we feel good; and like everything else, it’s better together with our friends alongside.
