In this 1.2 update, navigating among the maps is swift by tapping on the blue page indicators shown on the adjacent states (see iPhone screenshot). These are ordinarily just corresponding page numbers in the print Road Atlas, but they serve as a good mechanism to jump to another map.
Also, this is the first Universal binary, compatible with both the iPhone and iPad. The iPad interface is optimized for landscape orientation, but the iPhone view works with portrait and landscape, since the screen space is more constrained.
